Blaster Master Maps


I made these maps recently, as a one-day project. First, I wrote a program to generate maps from the ROM; this was helped greatly by Benjamin Cutler's Blaster Master Level Format info. I used the palette from the first Google result for "nes palette", and rotated the maps by 2 squares on both axes. Aside from that, these maps are pretty much straight from the game.

Blaster Master has eight areas, each of which contains one side-view area, and one overhead-view area. (Though there is only one overhead section per area, it is split into nonconnecting parts accessed from different parts of the level.) Here are the maps:

I also drew arrows indicating (usually) the shortest route through the game; get of your tank when the arrows turn purple. If you don't know where to go, check these out!
